Thread color preferences may be requested at checkout and apply to names, wording, or personalization elements unless otherwise noted.
Design elements shown — including motifs, icons, appliqué fabrics, or featured design colors — are stitched as displayed and may not be altered.
If a design includes both fixed elements and customizable text, only the wording thread color may be adjusted unless explicitly stated in the listing.
If you prefer a monochromatic look, thread that matches the brim of a hat, or would like the color coordinated on your behalf, please note this in the Thread Color field at checkout.
Some items do not offer a thread color selection. For these items, thread colors will be stitched as shown.
If you have a specific request for an item without a thread color option, you are welcome to email info@hlsembroidery.com prior to ordering to inquire about availability.
If no preference is provided, a coordinating thread color will be selected for the best visibility, contrast, and overall finish.

Font Look Book
This look book showcases the fonts currently offered across hlsembroidery designs. Each font has its own character, stitch structure, and sizing limitations, which means not every font is suitable for every design or placement.
Some fonts can only be stitched at a smaller scale to maintain clarity and stitch quality. In certain listings, the font used is pre-selected or listed as a separate option because that specific design requires a font that fits properly within the layout. This ensures the finished piece looks clean, balanced, and true to the intended design.
What to know:
• Not all fonts are compatible with all designs or placements
• Some fonts have minimum or maximum sizing requirements
• Listings may specify a required font for best results
• Font availability may vary based on design complexity and space
• Final sizing is adjusted for readability and balance
If a selected font is not compatible with the design, I will reach out with recommended alternatives before stitching begins. Please ensure your contact information is current and accurate at checkout, as timely communication helps avoid delays.
If you have a special font request, feel free to reach out prior to ordering. I’m always happy to explore new fonts when possible. That said, some designs simply won’t accommodate certain fonts due to size or structure limitations. If you’re unsure, just ask— I’ll do my best to help.

Font Embroidery, Motifs & Keepsake Options
This look book highlights sleeve personalization options available through hlsembroidery, including font embroidery, motif designs, handwriting embroidery, and keepsake sleeve appliqué options.
Sleeve embroidery is intentionally smaller in scale. All fonts, motifs, handwriting styles, and keepsake elements shown here have been tested specifically for sleeve placement to ensure clarity, balance, and stitch quality within the sleeve area.
The options featured are designed to complement the main garment embroidery without overpowering it, adding a subtle, elevated finishing detail.
Sleeve Font Embroidery & Motifs
The fonts and motifs shown in this look book are approved for sleeve use. While additional fonts may be available in the Font Look Book, not all fonts are suitable for sleeve embroidery due to size, spacing, and stitch limitations.
Motif options include standard sleeve designs such as floral icons and mini symbols. Sizing is kept intentionally small to maintain a refined, boutique look.
Handwriting Sleeve Embroidery
Handwriting embroidery is available as a sleeve personalization option on select listings. Handwriting is digitized directly from your provided writing, preserving original character, spacing, and natural imperfections as closely as possible. Scale is adjusted as needed for sleeve placement while maintaining readability.
Examples shown reflect common handwriting styles that translate well to embroidery. Final stitch appearance may vary slightly based on original handwriting, garment type, and sleeve size.
Keepsake Sleeve Appliqué (Keepsake Listings Only)
Select keepsake listings offer an optional sleeve appliqué created using customer-supplied memory fabric. Appliqué designs are limited to approved keepsake shapes, with memory fabric incorporated into the sleeve detail and adjusted for proper scale and placement.
This option is only available for designated keepsake listings and is not offered on standard embroidered garments.
What to Know
• Sleeve embroidery applies to the sleeve option purchased (one sleeve or both sleeves)
• Placement is typically along the outer sleeve near the wrist or mid-sleeve
• Font, motif, handwriting, and appliqué sizing may vary slightly based on garment size and design
• Thread colors may be selected or coordinated to complement the main design
• Sleeve personalization is available on select garment styles only

You’re welcome to share sleeve preferences or placement notes in the Additional Options / Notes box at checkout. Final placement is determined by hlsembroidery based on garment structure, sleeve shape, sizing, and overall visual balance to ensure the best finished result.
